I: Do you agree with the sentencing of Timothy McVeighs co-conspirators? Why or why not?
II. Think about what might have happened had McVeigh picked a different building to blow up. Would he have been successful? Would he have gotten away with it? Would the damages have been greater?
III. Discuss the reasons behind the bombing.
IV. Class Activities
a. Discuss your different viewpoints on the fate of the three conspirators
b. Answers the questions over the handout of the Waco and Ruby Ridge events.
c. As a group, design your own version of a memorial for the Oklahoma City Bombing.
d. Discuss whether you think it was appropriate or not to use certain pictures, such as the one of the fireman holding the dying child, as propaganda.
e. Field trip to the Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial on April 19th.
